Ανέτρεψε κάθε στερεότυπο για ροκ αστέρες μετατρέποντας τους σε ευγενείς παρουσίες της υψηλής αισθητικής. Σε ένα διαφορετικό Music Project, σε έναν διαφορετικό ρόλο, ο Slimane φωτογραφίζει τα πιο γνωστά αστέρια της ροκ. Προσωπικότητες που κάποιος ενδεχομένως θα χαρακτήριζε ως περιθωριακές, όπως ο Kim Gordon των Sonic Youth, η Courtney Love, ο Ariel Pink και ο Marilyn Manson.
